This pretends to be a brief explanation
about the technology being currently used for the running online
service PrisonServer.
Just some words about the multitask network that Serving Online Worlds
own and manage.
Our
game
servers rely on Somera
Network System, the propietary database and networking
technology for Windows that
we own and was developed from the scratch in pure C language for Win32.
Due its incredible fine-tuning for low
CPU usage, we can dramatically reduce our costs while serving more
online players.
Connected
to 100Mbps Cisco Switchports,
we choose Intel servers to
host and load-balance the game daemons.
We also
expand,
manage and localize the worlds to several languages
through our propietary tools for in-game content production and quality
translation results.
The
bandwidth provided by ServePath allow
us to serve our online gaming experience from a multi-homed Tier 1 Network company that ensures
the better connectivity possible, aimed to give our costumers around
the globe a premium service and real high-quality traffic.
A Sun Microsystems Enterprise server provides us our
mission-critical email service for customer
support, general webhosting needs and our propietary user-accounting
system. Using Unix
SUN
Solaris
OS, we get the
power, redundant processing and
reliability we
need, providing our customer accounts the security they expect.
Our websites rely on Red Hat Linux
servers, MySQL database
servers and scripting languages like Perl
& PHP.
